Image Compressor (“Image Compressor”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) is a local-first image compression and resizing application for Android. This Privacy Policy explains how information is accessed, processed, stored, and shared when you use the app.

Summary

Image Compressor is designed to process photos locally on your device. Photos you select are not uploaded to Image Compressor servers for compression, resizing, format conversion, lossless optimization, previewing, or form-upload preparation.

Image Compressor does not require an account, login, or cloud storage connection. We do not operate a server that receives your photos.

The free version may use Google services for advertising, consent management, analytics, crash reporting, and Google Play purchases. Those services may process limited device, usage, advertising, purchase, and diagnostic data as described below.

Photos Processed on Your Device

When you choose photos, Image Compressor accesses only the photos you select through the Android system photo picker or another Android system-provided file selection interface. The selected photos are used to perform the action you request, such as:

Processing is performed on your device. Image Compressor does not transmit the selected photo content to our servers or to Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, Google AdMob, or Google Play Billing.

Image Metadata

Selected photos may contain metadata such as dimensions, orientation, camera information, timestamps, or location information stored in EXIF fields. Image Compressor may read the metadata required to display and correctly orient or process a photo.

If the “Remove EXIF metadata” option is enabled, Image Compressor attempts to remove supported metadata from the output image. If the option is disabled, supported metadata may be copied to the output where technically possible.

Image metadata is processed locally and is not uploaded to Image Compressor servers.
