The Nectar Team ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Nectar - Glucose Tracker mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our App and the choices you have associated with that data.

By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Medical Disclaimer

Nectar is NOT a medical device. The App is designed solely as a secondary display tool to help users monitor glucose data provided by third-party continuous glucose monitors (CGMs). It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition. Decisions about your or your family's health and treatment should never be made based solely on the information presented in the App. Always consult with a qualified healthcare professional and use the official primary CGM applications for medical decisions.

2. Information Collection and Use

We collect and use the following types of information to provide and improve our Service to you:

a. Third-Party Credentials (LibreLinkUp & Nightscout)

To fetch your glucose data, the App requires you to enter your credentials or API keys for third-party services (such as Abbott's LibreLinkUp or Nightscout).

• Local Storage: These credentials are encrypted and stored exclusively on your device using Apple's secure Keychain.
• Direct Communication: Your device uses these credentials to communicate directly with the respective third-party APIs or our dedicated backend proxy servers to fetch your data. We do not use these credentials for any purpose other than retrieving your authorized glucose readings.

b. Health and Glucose Data

The App retrieves your glucose readings, trend arrows, and timestamps.

• Backend Sync: To provide features like historical charts, Live Activities, and background notifications (Critical Alerts), your glucose readings are securely synced to our backend database.
• No Data Selling: We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal health data to any third parties, advertisers, or data brokers. Your data is used strictly to provide the features of the App to you.

c. Device and Usage Data

We may collect minimal, anonymized diagnostic data (such as crash logs and app performance metrics) provided by Apple's standard analytics tools to help us fix bugs and improve the App. This data is not linked to your personal identity.

3. Data Retention and Deletion

Your glucose history synced to our servers is kept only as long as necessary to provide the service (e.g., to draw historical charts). You can stop the collection of all data at any time by:
