OmniSplit ("we", "our", or "the extension") is a Chrome browser extension designed to provide multi-tab split viewing inside a single browser tab. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it.
The extension requests only the minimum permissions necessary to function:
declarativeNetRequest & <all_urls>: Used exclusively on sub_frame requests to remove X-Frame-Options and Content Security Policy (frame-ancestors) headers, allowing user-specified websites to be embedded and viewed side-by-side in split panes.tabs: Used solely to query the URLs and titles of tabs in your current window when you explicitly click "Import Tabs" or "Merge Tabs", to load them into split view.storage: Used to save your split-view workspace layouts and saved tab sets locally on your own computer (chrome.storage.local). This data never leaves your device. All workspace sessions, layouts, and preferences are stored purely locally within your Chrome browser via chrome.storage.local. None of this information is transmitted to any external server or cloud service.
When you view websites in OmniSplit split panes, you interact directly with those third-party websites inside iframe elements. Their respective privacy policies and terms of service govern your interactions with those sites.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
If you have questions or concerns regarding this Privacy Policy, please contact the developer via the GitHub repository or support email.
