Paylist ("the app") is developed and published by Aneri Developers ("we", "us"). This policy explains how the app handles your information. In short: Paylist does not collect, transmit, or share your payment data. Your payments never leave your device. The app does collect anonymous usage statistics about how the app itself is used (details below), which you can switch off, and it makes two further network requests only if you turn those features on: exchange rates for multiple currencies, and weather for a place you choose.
Paylist has no account system, no sign-up, and no login. We never ask for your name, email or phone number.
The payment records you create (titles, amounts, due dates, categories, notes, and reminder settings) are stored only in a local database on your device. This information is never sent to us or to any third party, and it is not included in the statistics described below.
Paylist uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the app is used, so we know what to improve. It records things like: which screens are opened, that a payment was marked paid (not which one, or for how much), whether a month was completed, and which optional features are switched on. Counts are grouped into ranges — "6–15 payments" rather than an exact number.
Google also receives the standard information their SDK collects for every app: app version, device model, operating system version, approximate country (derived from the IP address, which Google does not retain), and an anonymous identifier for your installation of the app. It does not include your name, email or any other identifier from you, and it is not used for advertising or shared with data brokers.
What is never sent: your payments — no titles, amounts, notes, due dates, categories, or the city you chose for weather.
If you are in the EU, the EEA or the UK, Paylist collects nothing until it has asked you. The app puts the question once, the first time you use it, and collects nothing at all unless you choose "allow" — dismissing the question counts as no.
You can change your answer at any time in Settings → Privacy → Share usage data, and the app works exactly the same with it off. Uninstalling the app clears the installation identifier.
Paylist contains no advertising, no ad SDKs, and nothing that tracks you across other apps or websites.
Paylist works offline by default. If you turn on the optional "Use multiple currencies" setting, the app fetches daily exchange rates from a third-party service (open.er-api.com) so it can convert your totals into your home currency. When this happens, only a currency code is sent (for example INR) — no personal information and none of your payment data ever leaves your device. The fetched rates are cached locally so the app keeps working offline. You can leave this setting off.
The illustrated home screen changes with the time of day on its own, with no network access. If you turn on the optional "Live weather" setting, you pick a city by name and the app asks a third-party weather service (Open-Meteo, open-meteo.com) for that city's current conditions, so the scene can show real rain, snow or cloud. While you are choosing a city, the text you type is sent to the same service's place-search so it can list matching cities.
