RockyRead ("the App") is operated by Maxima Schröder c/o GAM, Papelallee 64, 10437 Berlin, Germany ("we", "us"). We are the data controller for the information described below.

2. Who RockyRead is for

RockyRead is designed for parents and guardians. Only an adult can create a RockyRead account, purchase a subscription and set up a family. Children and young people cannot register on their own — they can only join a family through an invitation code created by their parent.

A Parent can track reading progress for a child of any age from the Parent's own device; in this case the parent enters all information and no personal data is collected from the child directly.

Direct use of the App on the child's own device is intended for young people aged 13 and older, because it requires their own sign-in. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has signed in independently, contact us at [email protected] and we will delete the data promptly.

3. What information we collect

From the parent

• Apple Sign in identifier and email address (this may be Apple's private relay address if you choose "Hide My Email")
• Family name and family join code you create

From the child profile (entered or confirmed by the parent)

• First name or nickname
• Age
• Chosen avatar symbol and color
• If the child uses their own device: their own Apple Sign in identifier and email address

Activity data inside the App

• Titles of books, audiobooks and other content added to the child's list
• Learning minutes per session and the time of the session
