What Splitzees does

Splitzees is a group expense-splitting app that helps you track shared costs and settle up with friends. It does not process payments or handle money.

What data we collect

• Account information: Your name and email address when you create an account.
• App content: Trip names, expense descriptions, amounts, and the names of people in your groups.
• Device token: A push notification token to send you alerts when expenses or settlements are recorded.

How we use it

Your data is used solely to operate the app — to sync your trips across devices and notify you of activity in your groups. We do not use your data for advertising, analytics, or any purpose beyond making the app work.

Who we share it with

We use Google Firebase (Firestore, Authentication, and Cloud Messaging) to store and sync data. Google acts as a data processor on our behalf. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any other third parties.

Data retention

Your data is retained as long as your account exists. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at the email below.

Children's privacy

Splitzees is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
