ZenFlow AI is designed around focused writing, local-first storage, and minimal data collection. This policy explains what information may be processed when you use the app.
Your documents, notes, and drafts are intended to be stored locally on your device. If you enable iCloud sync, your files may be stored and synced through Apple iCloud according to your Apple account settings.
When you use Ghost AI, the selected text and limited surrounding context may be sent to an AI processing service through a secure gateway so the requested action can be completed, such as polishing, rewriting, expanding, grammar checking, or tone review.
ZenFlow may record limited product events such as app open, document creation, editor session duration, AI request type, and whether an AI suggestion was accepted or rejected. These events are designed not to include the actual text of your documents.
If you purchase an unlock or other in-app purchase, Apple processes the payment. ZenFlow may receive purchase status information needed to unlock paid features.
We use information to provide core app functions, save and sync documents when enabled, process your requested AI actions, improve reliability and product quality, and manage paid feature access.
We do not use your document content for advertising. The product design states that user text should not be collected in analytics events.
ZenFlow follows a local-first design. Your writing is primarily stored on your device. If iCloud sync is enabled, storage and transfer are handled through Apple iCloud infrastructure and Apple’s security controls.
AI requests require selected text to be transmitted to a processing service. The product plan calls for zero data retention agreements with AI providers so text sent for AI refinement is not used for model training. The final implementation should maintain this commitment in provider configuration and contracts.
No system can be guaranteed completely secure, but ZenFlow is designed to minimize unnecessary collection and avoid sending full document content unless required by a feature you request.
