2. Age Requirement

Zawaj is intended for individuals 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected information from a user under 18, we will delete that account and associated data promptly. 3. Information We Collect

3.1 Information you provide directly

• Account information: name, email address and/or phone number, date of birth, gender, password (stored securely, never in plain text).
• Profile information: photos, bio/about-me text, marriage preferences, religious practice details (e.g., sect, prayer observance, or similar fields you choose to fill in), family/background information, and any other details you voluntarily add to your profile.
• Messages: content you send through in-app chat with other matched users.
• Purchases: when you subscribe to premium features or purchase boosts, the transaction is processed through Apple's App Store or Google Play. We receive a purchase confirmation (product ID, transaction ID) to unlock the relevant features in your account — we do not receive or store your payment card details; Apple/Google handle billing directly.
• Support requests: anything you send us when you contact support.

3.2 Information collected automatically

• Device information: device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, IP address.
• Usage data: how you interact with the app (screens viewed, features used, session length).
• Location data: if you enable location services, we use approximate location to help with matching (e.g., showing nearby profiles). You can disable this in your device settings at any time.
• Push notification tokens: used to deliver notifications (e.g., new match, new message) via Firebase Cloud Messaging.

We do not currently purchase or receive data about you from third-party data brokers or advertising networks.
