The role

Location: NY, in-office

We’re hiring a Product Lead to build UnitedOS alongside our network of accounting firms. We’re starting with a practice management platform for firms working with AI agents, with a broader vision: a financial platform and back office for small and medium-sized businesses.

This role is for someone with deep expertise in finance, tax, or accounting who wants to turn that knowledge into lasting products. You’ll work directly with customers, translate their needs into prototypes, and help bring those prototypes into production. It’s an opportunity to both shape the product at a rapidly growing, AI-native startup, and learn yourself how to become product engineer.

What you will own

• Product and operational projects
  • Product project example: agentic practice management
  • Operational project example: monthly close study
• Product and UI/UX design
• Product discovery and customer development
• Implementation of small to medium-sized customer-facing features.

What you will be doing

• Partnering with product engineers to shape product requirements based on customer development and product vision
• Partnering with Applied AI engineers to build evals methodology, datasets and improve AI reliability
• Running product research including process discovery, users interviewing and shaping the roadmap together with CTO and CEO
• Working hands-on with UnitedOS and turning that experience into product insights and roadmap ideas
• Analyzing workflows running in production to ensure our AI systems deliver state-of-the-art performance

What we are looking for

• Strong curiosity about accounting, fintech, and AI engineering. To make a meaningful impact in vertical AI, you’ll need a deep understanding of how accounting and tax work actually gets done, the first principles behind it, and the latest practices in automation and product development.
