Every time you're designing a feature or analyzing one run it through these 5 questions in order. Don't skip any. The magic is in answering all five, because each one reveals a different layer of the product.

When to use this:

• Before designing any new screen or flow
• When building a case study for your portfolio
• When doing a UX teardown of an app
• During internship or job interviews when asked "How would you improve [product]?"
• When you want to go from "I made it look nice" → "I solved a real problem"

If someone asks you to redesign a feature, say: "Let me first understand the user, the problem, and the business goal before jumping to solutions." Then walk through these 5 questions out loud. Instantly sounds senior.

For every feature, ask these five questions:
