Designing a User-Centric Meal Planning Experience
This project focuses on improving the meal planning experience through intuitive UX design and iterative feedback.
What this demonstrates: • User-centric design and flows • Rapid prototyping and iteration • Incorporating user feedback into product decisions
Busy individuals struggle not just with planning meals, but with making the right food decisions in the moment when time and energy are limited. Traditional meal planning tools are rigid and time-consuming, leading to decision fatigue, inconsistent habits, and reliance on less healthy alternatives.
Decision Fatigue (In-the-Moment Friction):
Users don’t know what to cook when tired or busy.
Rigid Planning Systems:
Weekly plans often fail because they don’t adapt to changing schedules.
Underutilized Pantry:
Users often fail to leverage available ingredients efficiently, leading to waste and extra grocery spending.
