The lab's research, people and events were spread across university profiles, Google Scholar and LinkedIn, and booking a meeting happened on a separate Calendly page. There was no single place to see what the lab does, who works there and how to meet them.
Public site: About, Research, Publications, Team with a page for every member, Events with photo galleries, and Make Appointment with an embedded Calendly calendar behind a human check.
Console: one administrator manages every word on the site: the lab's details, research, publications, teams and members with their CVs, courses and projects, and events with photos, videos and participants. Saving publishes, and every change is recorded.
Security: every admin sign-in needs the password and a code emailed to the team mailbox.
Running cost: every service runs within its free allowance; the only cost is the domain.

Every change reaches main through a pull request and is released to staging automatically after the full test suite passes; production is released after the change is checked on staging.
