Canon scope: Black Meridian member; pre-timeskip combat and Season One continuity.

She reads the fight first

The Queen of Spades fights with a conductor's baton, golden runes, and the ocular ability King's Verdict. She prefers to control where a conflict can go rather than simply answer every attack with greater force. Her runes can restrain, redirect, or pin people and weapons.

King's Verdict gives her golden eye a formidable range of information: magical structures, weak points, spell formulas, trajectories, concealed runes, illusions, contracts, and navigational arrows pointing toward an optimal outcome. It does not guarantee that she can achieve that outcome. She still needs a workable option and the ability to act on it.

The distinction is visible when Iris requests a spar in the coliseum. The Queen identifies the quickest safe ending and pins Iris's weapon to a wall. The exchange is a sparring match, not an execution attempt.

Inside Black Meridian

She is the faction's precision tactician. Joker leads Black Meridian; its members depend on the intelligence and battlefield coordination she supplies. Her opening in the next Season One sequence is deliberately quiet: she is seated in the hideout, reading a book, when Jin'var brings Alaster and the rescued child there. Her actual reaction has yet to be written.

Black Meridian intelligence helped Jin'var find the Black Briar experimentation site. He already had a long working relationship with the faction before showing it to Alaster. After Aurelios falls and A12935 is rescued, Jin'var leads them to this hideout.

Visual and rule locks: Baton, not playing card. Golden runes and the eye's diagnostic guidance are central to her combat language. Do not turn optimal-path guidance into automatic victory; do not recast the Iris spar as lethal; do not substitute later-era status for this period.
