# QuickText Privacy Notice

QuickText does not collect, sell, transmit, or share personal information with the developer or third parties.

## Data stored by the extension

QuickText stores the following information locally in Chrome extension storage:

- The text snippets entered by the user
- The custom names of text slots
- The extension on/off setting

QuickText v1.0.0 does not upload active snippet data to Chrome Sync. Earlier development versions may have used Chrome Sync as a backup; v1.0.0 can read that older data once to preserve an existing user's settings.

## Page access

QuickText uses temporary access to the active Chrome tab only when the user opens the extension, clicks `Insert Now`, or runs a configured shortcut. This access is used only to insert the selected saved text into the active editable field and to determine whether the current page is supported.

QuickText does not record browsing history, page content, passwords, form submissions, or keystrokes.

## External services

QuickText does not use analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, remote code, or external APIs.
