A pocket Zen hall for the moment before you light one.

Cravings pass in minutes, not hours. Quit Smoking Mindfully turns the shaky three-second gap between "urge" and "match" into a sixty-second ritual of breath, koan, and choice. No streaks to break. No account to create. You can still smoke — just not on autopilot.

How it works

One button. Five screens. Sixty seconds.

1. Push the Door

A single breathing button on the home screen. No lecture, no commitment, no "Day 1 of forever." The promise is written right on the door: You can still smoke after this. That is exactly the point.

2. Meet the Koan

A short Zen story, a line of verse, and a modern "bridge" sentence that names what is actually pulling on you underneath the craving. Twenty koans, sourced from classical Buddhist texts, each hand-checked against its original citation.

3. Tap the Wooden Fish

Follow the breath ring — inhale, hold, exhale — while you tap along on a wooden fish. Low-latency audio, optional haptics. Thirty seconds is enough. Sixty seconds is the ritual.

4. Close With Grace

Rate the urge before and after if you feel like it — always optional. Then choose one of two exits: A. The wave passed, or B. Smoking, with awareness. Both are logged as practice. Neither is a failure.

5. Watch the Journal Grow

Two ledgers, side by side. An awareness ledger — koans lit, stages walked, urges met. A reality ledger — cigarettes skipped, money saved, a body-clock timeline that quietly shows what your lungs and heart are doing hour by hour.

Why people stay

"Every other quit app made me feel like I was one bad night away from being a failure. This one just… holds the door open. I actually reach for it now instead of the pack." — Beta tester, 2 weeks in

Made for the soft yes

If your voice is "I'd like to smoke less" and not "I must quit forever," most quit apps will shame you into deleting them by week two. Quit Smoking Mindfully was built for the soft yes: the person who is curious, tired, tender, and does not want to be lectured.
