When you write, it helps to include:
Tap the Add (+) button and fill in the form — only the quote itself is required. On iPhone and iPad you can also select text in another app, tap Share, and choose Quotes Book, or tap the camera button on the Quote field (on supported devices) to scan text from a page.
It only appears when text is selected, and only on iPhone and iPad. Scroll to the end of the row of apps in the share sheet, tap More, and turn on Quotes Book.
Tap the sparkles button next to Tags when you add or edit a quote. It uses Apple Intelligence on your device, so Apple Intelligence needs to be turned on in your device's Settings. Suggested tags are added to any you've already typed.
Go to Settings → Quotation Data → iCloud Sync, choose On, then quit and reopen QuotesBook. Each device needs to be signed in to iCloud with the same Apple ID. If a device already had the three sample quotes, you may see them twice — just delete the extras.
In Settings → Quotation Data, use Export as CSV to save all your quotes to a file, and Import from CSV to bring them back, or in from another app. Tap "How does importing work?" there for the file format.
Touch and hold your Home Screen, tap +, and search for QuotesBook. Choose Quote of the Day, Random Quote, or Quote of the Day & Random. On a Mac, right-click the desktop and choose Edit Widgets. If a widget says "No Quotes Yet," open QuotesBook once and it will fill in.
Open the quote's … menu and choose Delete, or open the quote and tap the trash icon. To remove everything, go to Settings → Quotation Data → Delete All Quotes. It asks you to type DELETE to confirm and can't be undone, so export a backup first. With iCloud Sync on, deletions sync to your other devices too.
