Recall Car Safety Check helps users check vehicles for open safety recalls using a 17-character Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). The app allows users to view recall results, save checks, unlock a full report with a one-time purchase, download a PDF report, and send the report by email.

Open the app, enter or scan a 17-character VIN, and tap the recall check button. The app will show available recall information for that vehicle.
You can usually find the VIN on the driver’s side dashboard, driver’s side door jamb sticker, vehicle registration documents, insurance documents, or title documents.
“Recall Found” means the app found recall information connected to the entered VIN or vehicle data. You should contact the vehicle manufacturer, an authorized dealer, or an official recall source to confirm the recall and repair options.
