Recollections is a simple, private mood journal for iPhone. Check in with yourself once a day in under a minute — no account, no streaks, no pressure. Everything stays on your device. 🔒
Recollections: Private Journal App - App Store
Do I need an account or sign-in? Nope. The app is fully offline — no account, no login, and no server. Your data never leaves your phone.
Is my data backed up? Your entries are stored locally on your device. They’re included in standard iPhone backups (iCloud or iTunes/Finder), so restoring your phone from a backup will restore your mood history.
What happens if I delete the app? All entries stored locally will be deleted. If you have an iPhone backup that includes the app, your data may be recoverable by restoring from that backup.
Can I export my mood history? Yep — there’s an export option in the Settings tab. You’ll get a .zip file you can save anywhere. When you use a new device, you can import that .zip during onboarding to bring your entries back.
Does Recollections track my location or use the camera? No location access is requested. The app doesn’t use your camera unless you choose to attach a photo to an entry — and that photo is stored locally on your device only. 📍🚫📷
Why can I only log one mood per day? Recollections is built for one intentional check-in per day, not continuous tracking. The idea is a quick, low-pressure daily reflection — not another app competing for your attention. 💛

Overview Recollections is offline-first. We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. Everything you enter stays on your device.
