Reef Remedy (the “App”) is operated by Szymon Niemiec (“we,” “us,” or “our”). We are committed to handling information responsibly and transparently.

This Privacy Policy explains what information is processed when you use Reef Remedy, why it is processed, where it may be sent, how long it may be retained, and what choices may be available to you.

Reef Remedy does not require an account, registration, or login. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, do not use the App.

2. Important Notice About AI and Animal Health

Reef Remedy provides AI-assisted educational information about marine aquariums, fish, corals, algae, pests, and reef tank conditions. The App does not provide veterinary diagnoses, prescriptions, treatment plans, emergency services, or a substitute for professional assessment.

We are not acting as veterinarians, and use of the App does not create a veterinarian-client-patient relationship or any other professional relationship. AI-generated results may be incomplete, inaccurate, or inappropriate for your particular animal or aquarium. Always verify important husbandry, health, chemical, dosing, and treatment decisions with a qualified aquatic or exotic-animal veterinarian and other reliable professional sources.

3. Information We Process

3.1 Photos and camera access

If you choose to use photo analysis, the App may:

• access your camera after you grant camera permission;
• access a photo you select from your device library;
• temporarily process and compress the selected image on your device; and
• transmit that image to our cloud infrastructure and AI service provider to generate the analysis you requested.

We do not access your full photo library. The App receives only the photo you choose or capture for analysis.

Do not upload photos containing people, personal documents, addresses, screens, labels with personal details, or other sensitive or identifying information. Photos are intended to show aquarium animals, organisms, equipment, or tank conditions.

3.2 Information you provide with an analysis

You may optionally provide additional context, such as observed symptoms, water parameters, tank conditions, recent changes, or other aquarium-related details. This information is transmitted together with the analysis request.
