Overview Rootline is a personal mission statement and reflection app. We take your privacy seriously.

What we collect

• Email address — used to create and identify your account
• Your root (mission statement) — stored securely on your device and in our database
• Branches and leaves — the life categories and goals you create
• Journal entries and check-in responses — your daily and weekly reflections

How we use your data

• To provide the app's features — generating your mission statement, daily check-in questions, and weekly review insights
• Your reflections are sent to Anthropic's API (Claude) to generate personalised responses
• We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising.

Where your data is stored

Your data is stored in two places:

On your device — all your content is cached locally using encrypted device storage for fast, offline access.

In our database — your account, mission statement, branches, leaves, journal entries, and root history are stored in Supabase, a secure cloud database provider. This allows your data to sync across devices and be restored if you reinstall the app.

Third-party services

• Supabase — authentication and account management
• Anthropic (Claude) — processes your reflections to generate AI responses (anthropic.com/privacy)

Your rights You can delete all your data at any time from Settings → Delete account.
