Jelly is a resource produced by hives that whilst useful, doesn’t hold as much importance as Biomass.

Many living creatures produce breast milk, or some form of milk they use to feed their young. Xenomorphs have a similar process where Queens or Empress’ produce Royal Jelly. Royal Jelly is quite literally the equivalent of Xenomorph breast milk.

Royal Jelly as a resource is the stage required before obtaining Scourge Jelly. Whilst Scourge Jelly does require a Harbinger present, it also does require there to be Royal Jelly in the first place.

Royal Jelly is used in,

• Cut-off Hive Crowning.
• Empress Development.
• Daughter Queen Creation.

Royal Jelly can be taken through finding Jelly Vats within hives. These vats house excess Royal Jelly Reserves and as a resort can be right-clicked to then obtain Royal Jelly.

Royal Jelly as a resource is used to craft poison jelly and potions of metamorphosis for players. For hives, its primary usage is in relation to the royal caste of hives such as Queens.
