POLE CHOREOGRAPHY COMPETITION 2027

4-6 June 2027

Riga, Latvia

The venue will be announced on 16 November 2026

NARRATIVE — Pole Choreography Competition dedicated to the art of creating stage work on the pole.

At its core is choreographic thinking — the ability to use movement, music, composition, technique and stage image to create a cohesive artistic statement.

We view each performance as an independent work of art, where not only individual elements matter, but also the relationship between them. Movement choices, musical interpretation, structure, use of space, performance quality, visual decisions and the artist’s individual voice are evaluated as parts of a unified creative concept.

The competition is created for artists, choreographers and performers who seek to explore the pole as a stage and artistic instrument, develop their own movement language and create memorable work.

Particular importance is placed on Artistic Integrity — the cohesion of the performance and the harmony between all its elements. The ability to unite an idea, movement, music and visual image into a single artistic work lies at the heart of the competition’s philosophy.
