SUMRAI is a browser extension that captures conversations from AI platforms (Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini) and helps you organize, search, and reuse that context. Built by Pickering Design Group (PDG).
SUMRAI captures the text content of your AI conversations when the extension is active on supported platforms. This includes messages you send and responses you receive.
If you purchase a SUMRAI Pro license, we collect your email address and generate a license key for your account. We also track your monthly token usage count to enforce plan limits.
To enforce the per-license device limit (a maximum of 2 devices per license), the extension generates a random device identifier for each device you activate and stores it with your license. This identifier is randomly generated by the extension — it is NOT derived from your hardware, browser fingerprint, or any personal data — and is used solely to count how many devices a license is active on.
We do not collect your name, browsing history, cookies, analytics data, or any personal information beyond what is described above.
All captured conversations are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's built-in storage. Your data stays on your device by default.
If you purchase a Pro license, your email address, license key, subscription status, monthly usage count, and the device identifiers of the devices you've activated (up to 2) are stored in our secure database (hosted on Supabase) for license management and device-limit enforcement.
Your conversation data only leaves your device in the following optional scenarios:
a) AI Summarization (Pro users): If you activate SUMRAI Pro with a license key, conversation text is sent to our secure proxy server, which forwards it to Google's Gemini API for processing. The text is used solely to generate summaries and is not stored on our servers after processing.
b) Bring Your Own Key: If you enter your own Anthropic (Claude) API key or your own Google Gemini API key, conversation text is sent directly from your browser to that provider's API (Anthropic or Google). This data never passes through our servers, and your key is stored only on your device.
