How does Salah calculate prayer times? Salah calculates prayer times entirely on your device using precise astronomical algorithms based on your current location. We use internationally recognized calculation methods (including Diyanet and Muslim World League) to ensure the highest accuracy.
Does Salah require an internet connection? No. Salah is built to be 100% offline. Once the app determines your coordinates, it calculates the times mathematically without ever pinging an external server or API.
Are my data and location private? Absolutely. We believe your devotion is personal. Your prayer history, streak data, and location information are stored securely on your device (and in your personal iCloud, if enabled). We do not collect, track, or sell your data.
How do I mark a prayer as completed? When a prayer time is active, simply swipe right on the prayer card to confirm it. You will feel a subtle haptic vibration, and the card will lock in, adding to your daily streak.
Why is my history locked after 7 days? The free version of Salah offers a 7-day rolling window, giving you a perfect space to start building your habit. To unlock your lifetime history, view comprehensive monthly statistics, and access premium interactive widgets, you can easily upgrade to Salah Pro within the app.
How do I add the Interactive Widget to my Home Screen? (Pro Feature) If you are a Pro user on iOS 17 or later, go to your iPhone Home Screen, long-press any empty space until the apps jiggle, tap the "+" icon in the top left, and search for "Salah." You can log your prayers directly from the widget without opening the app.
