ScanScout is designed to be private by default. We do not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal data. This page explains exactly what that means.

The short version

ScanScout collects no personal data. Everything you do in the app stays on your device. The app makes no network requests of its own — there are no servers, no analytics, no advertising, and no user accounts. You can verify this yourself: turn on airplane mode and use the entire app.

What we collect

Nothing. We do not collect, receive, or have access to:

Where your data lives

All app data — your scan history, folders, tags, settings, and any codes you create — is stored only on your device. We cannot see it, and it is never uploaded anywhere. You can delete any of it, or all of it, at any time from within the app.

Camera and photos

Network access

The app makes no network requests of its own and contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.

The only exception is in-app purchases: if you buy the one-time Pro unlock, the transaction is handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never receive or see your payment details. Those purchases are governed by Apple's and Google's own privacy policies.

Children's privacy

Because the app collects no data from anyone, it collects no data from children. It is safe for all ages.
