• The scout verdict section within each player report is just an additional anecdote of my thoughts on the player, trying to provide some extra information looking ahead to the tournament.
• Ceiling - Looking at the players potential level and where I think their development could take them, typically through a player comparison or status they can achieve within a league.
• Best Fit - This can refer to playing system, specific role or a position change. For example when looking at a winger it might say ‘Inverted Winger’ or it could say ‘Best deployed as a wide midfielder in a block of 4’. I’ve simply written down whatever I believe will provide the most value for the report based on my review of the player.
• Contract - Simplest section of the lot, this is the contract expiry date listed on the players Transfermarkt page at the time the report was put together.
