I am looking for a talented composer/producer to write and compose an original song based on Vox from Hazbin Hotel!
Just to make this clear in advance, I will respectfully decline anyone who uses generative AI in their music production. Also, I plan to have us sign a contract. This is simply to protect both parties in case any issues arise.
This is the most important thing I want to clarify about this project!
The MV has already been fully produced based on the lyrics, mood, and overall flow of the original song that was previously commissioned. Because of this, the new song will need to be created with the existing MV in mind.
The animation, direction, scene transitions, and other visual elements have already been completed, so it would be difficult to remake the entire MV from scratch to fit a new song. (It’s not completely finished yet. The cleanup and post-processing are still left to be done.)
I previously commissioned another artist to create the song, but after discovering that AI had been used in the work, I decided to stop the project and discussed the situation with the artist. I will be including screenshots of part of our conversation below to provide context regarding this situation. (Screenshots will be attached below!)
When you begin working on this project, I will provide you with the full MV and the lyrics. I am providing the MV because the visuals were created specifically around the song, and I want you to understand how the story progresses and what kind of atmosphere the visuals convey. I am NOT asking you to recreate the previous song or make an identical song based on it.
Because the MV already exists, we will need to consider the video length, scene transitions, key visual moments, and timing when developing the new song. This may involve adjusting the song’s structure, lyrics, mood, etc. However, I am NOT asking you to make the song fit the MV perfectly down to every single second. I want the music and visuals to work naturally together while still giving you creative freedom.
Of course, I’d be happy to discuss and coordinate any necessary adjustments so that the song and MV work naturally together. I’ll also do my best to explain my vision as clearly as possible throughout the process.
The lyrics from the previous commission will NOT be reused. The song will require completely new lyrics written from scratch. Please keep this in mind as well.
Ultimately, my goal is to preserve as much of the existing MV as possible while creating a completely new song that feels natural and cohesive with the visuals.
In short: the basic direction of this project is not “make an MV to fit the song,” but rather “create a new song that works with an already-existing MV.”
I do not want any AI-generated work. Please, I sincerely ask that you do not use AI anywhere in the process, under any circumstances. I would really appreciate it.
