About Odin
Odin Labs, Inc. ("Odin") is the workforce visibility and compliance platform powering the next generation of infrastructure. As demand accelerates for AI data centers, clean energy projects, and large-scale construction, Odin provides the operational backbone for real-time workforce tracking, credential verification, site access, and compliance management. We experienced more than 7x revenue growth from 2024 to 2025, and 2026 has already surpassed 2025 growth.
Odin's growth is driven by rapid expansion and adoption of our software platform across complex, high-compliance construction environments. As we continue to see strong market momentum and a growth in complex construction programs, Odin is preparing for its next stage of scale.
About the role
We are hiring a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to build and operate the Google Cloud foundation our developers depend on. You will make cloud infrastructure reliable, secure, and fast to change, with ownership spanning architecture, networking, identity, delivery, and production operations.
This is a hands-on position in Platform Engineering. You will lead substantial projects from design through production, contribute directly in Terraform and code, and build self-service paths that let developers ship without becoming cloud experts.
What you will do
- Lead cloud-infrastructure projects from a defined problem through production, coordinating developers, security, support, and other contributors while remaining hands-on in infrastructure and code.
- Design, build, and operate Google Cloud foundations, including organization and project structure, compute, storage, managed services, networking, and identity.
- Build and maintain reusable Terraform foundations that make infrastructure changes safe, repeatable, and recoverable.
- Continuously improve CI/CD pipelines and other delivery tooling so engineers can build, test, release, and recover changes quickly and safely.
- Design and troubleshoot secure cloud networking across service, project, region, and external boundaries.
- Implement usable IAM, governance, and cloud controls that support Odin's SOC 2 program and protect regulated data, including protected health information.
- Turn recurring developer needs into self-service modules, templates, tools, and documentation that reduce ticket-based work and avoid privileged console changes.
- Operate the platform through provider changes, service alerts, security notices, upgrades, capacity constraints, backup and recovery, and changing cost or performance needs.
- Build clear observability, participate in the on-call rotation, and handle L3 escalations after support triage. Use incidents to improve architecture, automation, safeguards, and recovery.
What we are looking for
- You have designed, built, and operated a production Google Cloud foundation spanning multiple projects and regions with Shared VPC, used by multiple services or engineering teams.
- You have operated Terraform as a production system, including reusable modules, state design, testing, controlled releases, migrations, drift handling, and recovery.
- You have built and evolved CI/CD pipelines and other developer delivery tooling used by engineering teams, and can show how your work improved feedback time, release safety, reliability, or recovery.
- You can design and diagnose cloud networks across routing, DNS, traffic management, segmentation, private connectivity, ingress and egress, and service-to-service communication.
- You have implemented IAM and governance for human and workload access. You have also translated formal security and privacy requirements into enforceable cloud controls, operating practices, and audit evidence.
- You have operated GKE and Cloud SQL at production scale, including upgrades, capacity and performance management, observability, backup and tested recovery, and incident diagnosis.
- You have participated in on call, led infrastructure incidents, and responded to provider changes or service alerts by making durable improvements.
- You have written production software or automation where configuration was not enough and used it to create self-service paths that reduced manual work while preserving delivery safety and reliability.
- You have led engineers through substantial infrastructure projects and communicated plans, interfaces, runbooks, incidents, and tradeoffs clearly.
- You use AI to accelerate your engineering without outsourcing your judgment. You understand, test, and refine the work it helps produce, preserve security and auditability, and answer for the infrastructure changes you ship.
Nice to have
- Experience implementing policy as code, infrastructure cost controls, and automated compliance evidence as part of infrastructure delivery.
- Experience with FedRAMP or another government cloud authorization program.
- Experience operating multi-tenant SaaS infrastructure.
- Experience with another cloud provider that improved your judgment about managed versus self-managed services.
- Experience at an early-stage company where you established cloud and platform practices while continuing to ship and operate production systems.
