About Tendos
Tendos is the AI platform for manufacturers in the construction industry. We are redefining how sales and tender processes work: from finding the right projects to processing inquiries, creating quotes and entering orders. Our AI agents run these processes end to end, including the complex steps that used to depend on a few experts, and the platform gets better with every action. We are live with leading manufacturers across Europe and process quotes worth billions of euros. Inside sales is where we started; the platform and the markets we serve are expanding. We are a team of around 20 in the heart of Munich, and we work AI-first: every function automates its own back office. Construction is the biggest industry in the world, and it still runs on manual sales work. We are changing that.
The role
You design Tendos and you ship it in code. You think like a PM about impact and like an engineer about how to build and scale it. There is no Figma-to-Engineering handoff. You work in the codebase, open your own pull requests and build the AI-first design system that engineers use to create UX/UI without you in every loop. You are the one designer for the whole platform, close to Product and Engineering, and regularly on site with users.
What you'll do
- Build the AI-first design system in the codebase, covering AI interaction patterns from suggestion to autonomous action.
- Ship UI/UX changes as well as new features to production through your own pull requests, with AI coding tools.
- Shape the navigation and information architecture for Tendos as a platform: many modules and cross-module workflows, without overwhelming users.
- Run sessions with users at customers and turn findings into shipped improvements within days, not months.
- Shape problems together with Product and Engineering instead of waiting for a brief.
- Run your design operations AI-first: research synthesis, documentation, component work and handovers are automated wherever possible, with the quality bar of an expert. No AI slop.
What you must bring
- You're a designer who codes, or a front-end engineer with an eye for design: you think in systems, invent new interaction patterns for an AI-first product and would rather build it than just mock it up.
- You ship in code: AI coding tools are a core part of your daily workflow. Figma-only portfolios do not qualify.
- You have built or extended a design system that lives in a real product codebase and that engineers used independently.
- Taste and systems thinking for dense, data-heavy B2B software. You have designed for power users, not for consumers or executive dashboards.
- You know how to design for AI: probabilistic output, confidence levels, human review, error states.
- You understand ROI: business outcome and success always in mind.
