The job
Develop and maintain endpoint management agents for Windows, macOS, Linux and mobile platforms. This role suits engineers passionate about operating systems, systems programming, device management and endpoint security.
What you will do
- Design and implement new features for endpoint agents across Windows, macOS, Linux and mobile platforms
- Develop components for monitoring, automation, patching, inventory collection and device management
- Write clean, maintainable and well-tested code
- Investigate customer-reported issues and production escalations; take part in root-cause analysis and resolution
- Work with Product and Support teams to turn customer enhancement requests into implementation plans
- Improve agent stability, performance, scalability and security
- Build integrations with operating-system management and security frameworks
- Build telemetry and diagnostics that improve supportability
- Take part in design discussions, code reviews and sprint planning
- Collaborate with cloud, platform, QA and support teams
Required
- 5+ years of software engineering experience developing system software, endpoint software or platform services
- Strong proficiency in C# and .NET
- Deep understanding of at least one operating system platform (Windows, macOS or Linux)
- Strong knowledge of operating system fundamentals: processes, threads, filesystems, networking and security fundamentals
