Verse: Lamentations 3:22–23 (KJV)

“It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for allowing us to see the beginning of a brand-new month. Thank You for carrying us through August and bringing us safely into September. We recognize that it was not by our own strength, but by Your mercy, protection, and faithfulness. Before we ask You for anything, we pause to give You all the glory, honor, and praise.

Father, please forgive us for every sin we have committed knowingly and unknowingly. Forgive us for the wrong thoughts, words, attitudes, and actions that did not please You. Create in us clean hearts, renew right spirits within us, and help us not to carry old habits into this new month. Teach us to forgive those who have hurt us so that bitterness, anger, and unforgiveness have no place in our hearts.

Lord, place a hedge of protection around us, our families, our homes, our health, our jobs, our schools, our vehicles, and everything connected to us. Protect us from sickness, accidents, violence, danger, evil intentions, and every plan of the enemy. Guard our minds from fear, anxiety, confusion, and discouragement. Cover our coming in and our going out throughout this entire month.

Father, bless the work of our hands and provide for every need. Open the right doors and close every door that would lead us away from Your will. Bring abundance into our lives—not only financially, but an abundance of peace, wisdom, love, good health, strength, joy, opportunity, and spiritual growth. Give us wisdom to manage every blessing responsibly, generous hearts that remember others, and humility that always gives You the credit.

Order our steps in September. Give us discernment before every decision, discipline to complete what You have called us to do, and courage to obey even when the path is unfamiliar. Remove distractions, unhealthy connections, and anything that would delay our growth. Surround us with people who encourage our faith and help us become a blessing wherever we go.

Lord, let September be filled with answered prayers, divine protection, healing, restoration, favor, progress, and a deeper relationship with You. When challenges come, remind us that You are still present and working. May every day of this month draw us closer to You, strengthen our faith, and bring glory to Your name. We surrender September to You and trust You with everything it will hold.
