The other week you built a real prompt: the Listing Description Generator. It works, but it lives in a doc. Every time you want it, you go find it, copy it, paste it, and fill in the brackets. Today we take that same prompt and turn it into a skill, so Claude just knows it. You ask for a listing description, and Claude reaches for your prompt on its own. No hunting, no pasting.
We are not writing anything new today. We are taking the prompt you already have and wrapping it in a name and a trigger. Simply paste the existing prompt into Claude, and tell it to create this as a Skill.

Your takeaway. A prompt is something you carry around and set up each time. A skill is that same work, saved once, that Claude picks up on its own. Take your listing prompt, wrap it in a name and a description, save it as SKILL.md, and upload it. One prompt, promoted to a permanent teammate.
