1. DATA STORED LOCALLY ON THE USER'S DEVICE

The following data is stored exclusively in the user's browser local storage(chrome.storage.local) on the user's own device. This data is never transmitted to any external server, never accessible to the developer, and never shared with any third party under any circumstances.

Data stored locally on the user's device includes:

• Free trial usage count and trial start date  stored on the user's device to enforce the  6-prompt free trial limit per 30-day window.
• User preferences including theme selection,  button position, tone selection, persona  selection, and output format selection  stored locally on the user's device.
• Prompt enhancement history including the  user's original prompts and enhanced prompts  stored only on the user's own device and  never uploaded or transmitted anywhere.
• Tech stack preferences selected by the user  in previous sessions stored locally on the  user's device- AI model download status and download  progress stored locally on the user's device.
• Pro license activation status and the date  of last license validation stored locally  on the user's device.

All of the above data resides entirely within the user's browser local storage on the user's own device. The developer of Smart Prompt has no access to this data at any time.

2. DATA TRANSMITTED TO EXTERNAL SERVERS

The only external data transmission Smart Prompt performs is license key validation for Pro subscribers. What is transmitted: The license key entered by the user in the extension settings. where it is transmitted: Dodo Payments license validation API. When it is transmitted: When the user activates Pro by entering their license key, and automatically once every 7 days to verify the subscription remains active. Why it is transmitted: To verify the user's purchase and unlock unlimited Pro features within the extension. What is NOT transmitted: The user's prompts, the user's browsing history, the user's personal information or any other user data of any kind. Dodo Payments is a licensed international payment processor.

3. USER PROMPT CONTENT

The content of user prompts is never sent to any external server under any circumstances.

All prompt enhancement processing is performed entirely within the user's own browser using:

Layer 1 — Rule Engine: A locally executed JavaScript rule engine that runs entirely within the user's browser with no external connections required.

Layer 2 — On-Device AI Model: A locally downloaded AI model(Transformers.js — Xenova flan-t5-base)that is downloaded once to the user's device and runs entirely within the user's browser thereafter

The user's prompt content never leaves the user's browser at any point during the enhancement process. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

4. THIRD PARTY SERVICES

Dodo Payments: Receives only the user's license key for the sole purpose of validating the user's Pro subscription purchase. No prompt content or personal data is shared with Dodo Payments.

HuggingFace CDN: Used for a one-time download of the AI model file to the user's device when the user first activates the AI enhancement feature. No user data is transmitted during this download. It is a standard file download only, identical to downloading any file from the internet. After the initial download, the model runs entirely on the user's device with no further external connections.

5. DATA THE EXTENSION DOES NOT COLLECT

Smart Prompt does not collect any of the following from users:

• User name or email address
• User location or IP address
• User browsing history or activity
• Content of user prompts or AI responses
• User's AI platform account information
• Payment information of any kind
• User device identifiers or fingerprints
• Crash reports or usage analytics
• Any form of behavioral tracking data

6. FREE TRIAL USAGE TRACKING

The extension tracks the number of free prompt enhancements the user has used within the current 30-day trial window. This tracking is performed entirely within the user's own browser using Chrome's local storage on the user's device.

The following values are stored locally on the user's device:

• A count of enhancements used

• The start date of the user's current  30-day trial window.

These values are stored exclusively on the user's device and are never transmitted to the developer or any third party.

7. DATA RETENTION

All data stored locally on the user's device remains on the user's device until one of the following occurs:

• The user clears the extension data via  Settings inside the extension
• The user uninstalls the extension from  Chrome, which automatically removes all  locally stored extension data from the  user's device
• The user manually clears Chrome's local  storage via Chrome browser settings

The developer has no ability to delete or modify data stored on the user's device.

8. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

If this privacy policy is updated, the "Last updated" date shown at the top of this page will be revised to reflect the new effective date. Continued use of the extension after any changes to this policy constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
