Snap Vanish does not collect, store, sell or share any personal data. Everything it does happens inside your own browser, and nothing is sent to the developer or anyone else.

Camera and microphone

Snap Vanish uses your camera and microphone only on video-calling sites, and only after you have allowed that site to use them.

The video your call partners see is sent by the calling service (for example Google Meet or Zoom), under that service's own privacy policy.

What is collected and stored

Snap Vanish collects no personal data. It has no servers, no accounts, no analytics and no ads.

The only thing it stores is your settings, saved in Chrome's local extension storage on your own device:

Setting What it holds
Enabled Whether the effect is on
Detect finger snaps Whether the microphone is used for snap detection
Snap sensitivity A number from 1 to 10
Show on-screen panel Whether the control panel appears on call pages

Removing the extension deletes these settings.

Permissions and third parties

Snap Vanish does not sell, rent, transfer or share any data with third parties. It does not use data for advertising, credit checks or any purpose other than the snap effect.
