What SnapCal does

Take a photo of anything with a schedule on it — a poster, a school timetable, a screenshot — and SnapCal finds the dates, times, titles and locations and turns them into Apple Calendar events. If one photo contains several dates, you can add all of them at once.

Everything happens on your iPhone. There is no account, no server, and no upload.

How to use it

1. Tap Scan a Photo to take a picture, or Choose from Photos to pick an existing image.
2. Wait a moment — SnapCal lists every event it found.
3. Uncheck anything you don’t want. Tap the pencil to fix the title, time or location.
4. Tap Add to Calendar at the bottom. All selected events are created in one step.

Frequently asked questions

Are my photos uploaded to a server?

No. All text recognition and parsing happens inside your iPhone. Your photos, the recognized text and the event details never leave the device, and the developer cannot see them. Scanning works in Airplane Mode.

Do I need an account?

No. There is no sign-up and no login.

Which languages can it read?

Korean and English. A single image may contain both — SnapCal reads them together. You never have to pick a language. (Japanese and others are under consideration for a later update.)

Which calendar do events go into?

Your default calendar — the same one the Apple Calendar app uses for new events. SnapCal never reads your existing calendars, so it cannot show you a list to choose from. To change the destination, open the iOS Settings app › Apps › Calendar › Default Calendar. (Events already created can be moved to another calendar from the Calendar app.)
