Color coding enhances your dependency map by visually differentiating both links and work item cards. In just a few clicks redefine your attributes’ colors to spot at a glance:

• Link type: Assign colors based on link type to quickly identify relationships between tasks.
• Work item type: Color cards according to work item type (e.g., Story, Bug, Task) to instantly spot different categories of work.

This makes complex dependency maps easier to read and navigate, helps identify patterns, highlights important relationships, and supports faster decision-making. Not having to scan dense text or structures.

🎨Set up your color palette

To assign specific colors:

1. Navigate to Apps > Visual Dependencies map.
2. Open the Color Coding menu.

1. Use the Link types and Work item types tabs to assign a color to each value.
2. Optionally, you can also enter a custom color into the input field below to gain more precise control.

1. Click Save to keep your changes.
