About the Role
We are building the next-generation Global Satellite Constellation for highly precise and secure Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) using Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites.
We are looking for a detail-oriented Space Regulatory Engineer to join our Regulatory Affairs team. In this role, you will support the authorization, licensing, and regulatory compliance activities required throughout the lifecycle of our satellite constellation from mission planning and frequency coordination to launch authorization and operational compliance.
Working closely with engineering, mission planning, legal, and government stakeholders, you will help ensure that VyomIC's space missions comply with Indian and international regulatory frameworks while enabling timely execution of mission objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the preparation, submission, and management of authorization applications with IN-SPACe for satellite missions and associated space activities.
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies including IN-SPACe, ISRO, DoT/WPC, SACFA, and other government bodies to obtain necessary licenses, approvals, and operational clearances.
- Assist in ITU satellite network filings and other regulatory documentation.
- Track regulatory approvals, maintain compliance schedules, and ensure timely submission of statutory documents throughout the mission lifecycle.
- Monitor developments in national and international space regulations, including the Indian Space Policy 2023, ITU Radio Regulations, UN COPUOS guidelines, and other applicable regulatory frameworks.
- Conduct regulatory research and evaluate the impact of evolving policies, standards, and licensing requirements on satellite missions and business operations.
- Work closely with engineering teams to identify regulatory requirements affecting spacecraft design, orbital operations, spectrum utilization, and mission planning.
