This is the day of the event. If you have not joined the server yet, do Step 2: Join Discord first.

This is a voice channel, so your microphone is live the moment you join. Mute yourself as you come in and nobody has to hear your room. Your camera and your screen stay off until you turn them on yourself.

1. Wait for Discord to tell you

If you clicked Interested on the event, Discord sends you a notification when we start.

Nothing exists until about five minutes before we start. If you look earlier and the room is empty, nothing is broken and you are not in the wrong place.

2. Click Build & Brew

Look down the left side. Under NextWork Live! there are four rooms. Only one is us.

The quickest way to tell them apart is the icon. The top two are stage channels. The bottom two, ours included, are voice channels and show a small speaker icon instead.

Click it and you are in. There is no join button and nothing to be let into.

That opens our event inside Discord and takes you to the right place. It also shows the time in your own time zone. Save it, it is the same link every week.

3. Look around

Everybody sits in one list, Roy included. There is no speakers row and no audience row, because everyone is in the same room on the same footing.

Read each line left to right: the name, then whether they are muted, then whether they are sharing. The timer at the top right is how long the room has been open, not how long is left.

Most people are a name and a picture all evening, and that is completely normal. Cameras are optional and plenty of people never turn one on.
