The idea of “relationships between multiple elements” in this assignment reminded me of the mirror filters I used in my previous video projects. I wanted to use the mouse position as input to generate mirrored shapes on the canvas. However, repeating just one shape felt a little boring, so I divided the canvas into four main quadrants, then divided each of them into four smaller quadrants.

As the mouse moves, shapes appear simultaneously at mirrored positions in all four main quadrants. The shape at each position depends on which smaller quadrant it falls into: a triangle in the first quadrant (upper right), a circle in the second (upper left), a square in the third (lower left), and a diamond in the fourth (lower right). The shapes leave trails that slowly fade over time.

What interests me is that all four positions are controlled by the same mouse input, but their directions of movement and the shapes they produce are not all the same. When one position moves to the right, its horizontal mirror moves to the left. The same input produces different visual results in different quadrants, creating symmetrical movement with variations in shape.
