StratoSync

Living Skies, Earth & ISS

StratoSync generates Aurora, Star Nest, and Dusty Nebula at runtime on Apple Vision Pro. Earth’s lighting follows the Sun’s current position, and live ISS telemetry moves through the computed scene. Explore the relationship between Earth, sunlight, and the International Space Station in your room or in full immersion.

View the ISS from different angles, follow its live orbital position, inspect telemetry, choose your surroundings, use spatial gestures, join synchronized SharePlay sessions, and annotate the station with 3D drawing tools.

StratoSync brings computed surroundings, real solar lighting, and live orbital data into one spatial experience you can observe, move around, share, and annotate.

🌍 The Idea

The International Space Station is moving above Earth right now.

StratoSync brings that movement into a scene whose surroundings are generated at runtime and whose sunlight is calculated from the real solar position. Live latitude and longitude place the ISS around a 3D Earth. Between real updates, the station’s 3D presentation derives motion from recent fixes; the telemetry cards continue to show the newest measured data.

The result is a spatial relationship between the station, Earth, its inclined orbit, and the day/night boundary. Earth and the ISS are authored 3D models, with presentation scale adjusted for readability.

🛰️ What You Can Do

Track the ISS in real time

StratoSync retrieves live ISS telemetry every 5, 10, or 15 seconds, as selected in Settings. The telemetry panel shows the latest real coordinates, altitude, speed, and update time. Only the station’s 3D presentation derives motion between fixes; it stops deriving motion when updates become stale.

Explore Earth and the ISS in 3D

Move beyond a flat map. View Earth and the ISS inside a spatial scene designed for Apple Vision Pro. Move and scale Earth or the ISS in Manual Control Mode, and rotate the ISS in 3D for closer inspection.

Choose your surroundings

Begin in Your Room with passthrough, then choose one of three environments generated at runtime: Aurora, Star Nest, or Dusty Nebula. Aurora and Star Nest regenerate their fields as they animate; Dusty Nebula combines a static 8K procedural star field with a localized animated nebula. Earth’s lighting is calculated from the Sun’s current position.
