Your privacy matters. This Privacy Policy explains what information the suma app (“suma”, “the app”, “we”, “us”) handles and how. In short: suma keeps your data on your device. We don’t have an account system, we don’t run analytics, and we don’t sell or share your data.

Summary

• All your financial data stays on your device. Budgets, categories, transactions, savings goals, your name and profile photo are stored locally on your iPhone and are never sent to us.
• No account, no sign-up, no tracking. suma has no login, no advertising, and no analytics or tracking SDKs.
• One network request: suma fetches up-to-date currency exchange rates from a third-party service. This request contains no personal information.
• You’re in control. Deleting the app removes all of its data from your device.

Information we collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal information to our own servers. suma has no backend server and no user accounts.

All information you enter into suma — including your name, optional profile photo, budget categories, transactions, payment methods, and savings goals — is stored locally on your device only, using Apple’s on-device storage. We have no access to it.

Photos

If you choose to set a profile picture, suma uses the system photo picker to let you select an image. The selected image is stored locally on your device as part of your profile and is never uploaded anywhere. suma does not request access to your photo library.

Third-party services

To convert and display amounts in your preferred currency, suma requests current exchange rates from a third-party provider:

• open.er-api.com (Exchange Rate API) — suma sends an anonymous request for the latest published exchange rates. This request does not include your name, your financial data, or any personal identifiers. As with any internet request, the provider may automatically receive standard technical information such as your device’s IP address. Please refer to the provider’s own privacy practices for details.

suma does not use any advertising networks, analytics services, crash-reporting tools, or other third-party tracking SDKs.

Data we do NOT collect

• We do not collect analytics or usage statistics.
• We do not use advertising or advertising identifiers.
• We do not track you across apps or websites.
