When an Empress first develops, she’ll begin to establish Supply Lines across all her connected daughter hives. These supply lines allow the Empress to send Biomass, Jelly, and Hive Members across these supply lines to younger, developing hives or hives in need of defence or labour aid.

A visualised Supply Network. Supply lines are established from the Empress Hive into daughter hives, and then into younger developing hives. Through this supplies have to pass through multiple points prior to heading to their destination.

Supply Lines not only involve labour aid, but also resource aid. Across a Supply Network, the Empress will send resources such as Biomass or Royal Jelly to hives that are low on the resources or need additional aid in development. Using this, players can intercept convoys or destroy supply lines causing weaker hives to develop much slower due to prior dependence on the Empress.

Players can cut off supply lines by destroying the hive in-between the Empress Hive and younger hive. This prevents that hive from being connected to the support network and its supply aid resulting in it struggling to actually develop due to its prior dependence on the Empress’ forces and aid.

Empress that begin a Hive War with another Empress Hive will utilize the Supply Network to collect a larger force to help raid the enemy Empress. This further extends the war efforts from both sides and makes multiple hives be points of interest for each side to steal resources or take out key points of aid and military support.
