01. INTRODUCTION & PURPOSE

This guide covers my personal process for creating JanitorAI bots, from planning the initial concept to writing character definitions, first messages, example dialogues, and lorebooks.

It combines general bot-building advice with the methods and formatting techniques I've developed through experience.

The goal is to create bots that:

• Have recognizable and consistent personalities.
• Provide interesting, engaging roleplay scenarios.
• Have detailed and useful character definitions.
• Produce immersive, well-written responses.
• Stay consistent with their intended premise.

02. PLANNING THE CHARACTER

Before opening the character creator, it's helpful to establish what you're actually trying to make.

Things to consider

• Core concept: Who is the character, and what makes them interesting?
• Roleplay hook: What situation gives the user a reason to interact?
• User's role: Who is the user in this scenario?
• Tone: What kind of atmosphere should the bot maintain?
