<aside> 📌

In one line: an iOS app where your Teak Time character checks in on you with one real, human-voiced message each day — and quietly needs you to finish the message and check in back. You care for her; she roots for you. Everyone begins with seven days of full access, then keeps a useful Basic experience while membership opens the complete archive. Cumulative check-ins reveal character stories and, eventually, exclusive wardrobe rewards. A figure can unlock an owner pack later. It is the beloved "talk to the character" mechanic from gacha games, made into a daily ritual around the one thing Teak Time is about: taking the pause.

Build status — interaction-complete prototype (August 16, 2026). The current app runs on Expo SDK 54 / React Native 0.81 / expo-router / TypeScript and is testable on iPhone through Expo Go. Working now: the start-screen ceremony on every app open; the main Faye stage; weekly date wheel; ambient greeting and new-message arrival; the canonical full-screen audio player; final-audio completion rewards; cumulative check-in bank; nine-piece Faye lore archive plus the Chapter 10 wardrobe reward; Good / Worn / At the brink mood logic; streak grace and held-seat insurance; Samira's 10-day unlock; character switching; Your Messages with filters and persistent Favorites; Settings and native notification-time selection; rotating local notifications; the seven-day reverse trial and soft Basic downgrade; persistence migrations; cloud-ready art/voice manifests; and founder-only reset, time-travel, unlock, and UX-replay tools. Real Faye Retake 3 audio is split into five continuous story parts and wired into the shared player; remaining voices and final illustrations are still production placeholders. Still required for release: final human-made character art/animation, final human VA sessions for the complete library, RevenueCat, figure-code redemption, production cloud storage, App Store legal/support surfaces, analytics, and the later backup/account layer. Internal preview conveniences—such as cycling check-in totals after 15—are test harness behavior and are never audience-facing product rules.
