Tend: Grow Habits ("Tend," "we," "us," or "our") is a habit-tracking app that helps you create habits, record progress, maintain streaks, and schedule reminders. This Privacy Policy explains what information Tend collects, how it is used and disclosed, and the choices available to you.
When you create a Tend account, we collect your email address and create a unique account identifier. Authentication is provided by Supabase. Your password is sent directly to Supabase for authentication and is not available to us in readable form.
We collect the information you choose to enter and generate while using Tend, including:
Because habit names, goals, and notes are free-form, they may reveal personal or sensitive information if you choose to enter it. You should only enter information you are comfortable storing in Tend.
Preferences such as your theme, week-start day, onboarding status, sound and animation choices, and evening-reminder settings are stored locally on your device.
If you enable reminders, Tend asks for notification permission and schedules notifications locally through your device's operating system. Tend does not collect a push-notification token, and habit reminder content is not sent to our servers for notification delivery.
When Tend communicates with our services, our service providers may process limited technical information needed to deliver and protect the service, such as your IP address, request time, authentication status, and error or security logs. Tend does not include advertising SDKs, cross-app tracking, or product-analytics SDKs in the current app.

We require service providers that process user data on our behalf to protect it consistently with this Privacy Policy and applicable law, and not to use it for their own unrelated purposes.
We keep your account, habits, completion records, and streak data while your account remains active so that Tend can provide the service.
You can permanently delete your account from Settings > Delete account in the app. Account deletion removes your Tend account and its associated habits, completion history, notes, and streak data from our active database. Tend also signs the deleted account out, resets locally stored app settings, and cancels Tend's scheduled local notifications on that device.
Limited information may remain temporarily in backup systems, security logs, or service-provider systems until those records are overwritten under standard retention cycles. We may also retain information when required by law, necessary to resolve disputes, or needed to prevent fraud or abuse. We do not use retained backup data for ordinary product purposes.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, obtain a copy of, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information, or to withdraw consent. To make a request, contact us using the email below.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information. Tend uses encrypted HTTPS connections, stores native app sessions in the device's secure credential storage, and restricts database records so authenticated users can access only their own data. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Tend and its service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers and handle information in accordance with applicable data-protection law.
Tend is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If the law where you live requires a higher minimum age to use an online service without parental consent, that higher age applies. If you believe a child has provided personal information in violation of this section, contact us so we can delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy as Tend changes or legal requirements evolve. We will update the date at the top of this page and provide additional notice when required by law. Your continued use of Tend after an update is subject to the revised policy.
