Format: 16-round snake draft. Snake means the pick order reverses each round — if you pick last in round 1, you pick first in round 2.
Before the draft
- The commissioner sets the draft date and time. If it changes, you'll get a notification — but check your group chat too.
- Draft order is set in the Draft Settings tab on the league home page — the commissioner can pick it manually or randomize it.
- The pick clock is set by the commissioner before the draft — by default it's 2 minutes per pick.
- The draft won't run unless the league is full. (This can be bypassed but is not encouraged as leagues missing squads might not be eligible for certain promotions)
How your squad picks (this is the MESH part)
Going into the draft, there are two roles to pay attention to:
- Leaders and co-leaders — the only ones who can actually hit the draft button and make the selection.
- Everyone else — a voting role. You vote for who the next pick should be; the squad's votes decide the pick.
How it plays out:
- In the draft room, pull up the voting tab. Everyone on the squad votes for who the next pick should be — votes are visible live.
- When the pick clock runs out, the top-voted player is drafted automatically.
- Leaders and co-leaders can hit the button early to lock in the obvious pick and keep the draft moving. If 10 of 11 votes are on Justin Jefferson, don't wait out the clock — the other squads will thank you.
- Vote ahead: you don't have to wait for your squad to be on the clock — you can cast your vote for your squad's next pick anytime before it happens, then come back later or vote live.
- If your guy gets taken: when another squad drafts a player you voted for, your vote doesn't carry over — come back and vote for someone else before your squad's turn.
- Leaders can also switch the squad to immediate pick mode, where a leader drafts directly instead of running votes. Good for small squads or when one person is running the board.
Autopick
- If nobody on your squad is in the draft room and nobody has voted when your clock runs out, autopick selects for you — and keeps picking for your squad each round until someone comes back and starts voting again.
- If your squad misses the draft entirely, your whole roster is autodrafted.
