“Science is a nonlinear journey. Nobody has all the solutions. You have to go through such a challenge to find an answer.” (Ferriss).

Dr.Fei-Fei Li, Chinese Immigrant, Stanford Professor, author, and former Vice president/Chief Scientist of AI at Google Cloud holds many breakthroughs in data science as a technologist responsible for one of the widest data sets and research regarding artificial intelligence overall! (Stanford)
Born in Beijing, China Fei-Fei Li lived in Chengdu until at the age of 15 her and her family immigrated to US, where she spent her time in school as well as working and managing her families dry cleaning shop throughout half of her Undergraduate to support her parents (Ferriss).
Her father, a lover of bugs and nature, was innately curious and described by her as having a child-like mind, which fostered Li in a supportive environment alongside her mom who instilled her discipline and fostered her in a life of love (Ferriss). Li earned her B.A. in Physics with honors from Princeton in 1999, and her PHD in Electrical engineering from California Institute of Technology (CalTech) in 2005. Additionally, she holds honorary doctorates from Yale University and Harvey Mudd College (Stanford)
Her focuses are primarily in:
(Stanford)
While researching at CalTech, she realized that: “The scientific datasets we were playing with were tiny” so, following a hunch that data was what was needed, introduced the ImageNet database and challenge, an initiative expanding AI development (Gershgorn).
