Cultivating Your Tribe
In this program I talk at length about owning the first 15 minutes of a performance. The reality is, owning the stage does not come from a place of dominance or superiority. Instead, you are a leader AMONG the people, NOT ABOVE them.
To Build a Sustainable Career in Bass Music:
- Don’t Treat Listeners Like Numbers: Engage directly with everyone who listens and comments, attends shows, or DMs you questions about your music. Kill the idea of having a fan-base, instead opting for a friend-base, you will find this is a lot more meaningful and long-lasting.
- Elevate Those Around You: Play your friends’ music. Shoutout local promoters and attend events. Share the stage.
- Become the Energy Source: If you stand behind the decks looking bored, the room will be just as lifeless. If you’re losing your mind to the music, the crowd gets permission to do the same.

After Completing this Lesson
Congrats on completing Module 0! Having the right intention at the start will help you tremendously in creating a music brand that sticks!
My advice before continuing to Module 1:
- Write down your 3 pillars, mission, and vision. Sincerely ask yourself why you’re doing this and what you stand for. A tree that bends with every direction of the wind has weak roots.
