Years ago, the government introduced The Purge.
Once every month, from 7:00 PM until 7:00 AM, almost all crime becomes legal.
Murder. Theft. Assault. Burglary. Arson. Kidnapping. Destruction of property.
For twelve hours, the police don't respond. Emergency services shut down. Most hospitals lock their doors. The government expects citizens to survive until morning.
At exactly 7:00 PM, emergency sirens sound across the country.
And America changes.
Everyone handles the night differently.
Some families barricade themselves inside their homes, covering windows, reinforcing doors, and waiting quietly for sunrise.
Wealthy people purchase expensive security systems and hire armed protection.
Others leave the cities entirely and spend the night in isolated shelters.
