Txon’ite (Ksoh-NEE-Teh) means: “Children of the Night”.
The Txon’ite Clan is one of the oldest known Na’vi clans on Pandora. Their name translates as “Children of the Night” (derives from the Na’vi words txon ("night") and 'ite ("daughter"). The name originally referred to the clan's connection to an ancient female spiritual figure, but over generations its meaning expanded to encompass the entire clan**),** though neighboring clans sometimes refer to them as “The Starborn People” because of their strong spiritual connection to the stars.
The name reflects the clan’s way of life. Unlike many Na’vi clans, the Txon’ite thrive beneath the night sky. Their hunters travel and hunt after sunset, their ceremonies follow lunar cycles, and their Tsahìks study the heavens as part of their spiritual traditions.
For the Txon’ite, the night sky is more than a source of navigation. It preserves the stories of their ancestors, records important events, and serves as a guide for future generations.

One night, an unusually bright blue star appeared and remained visible for many nights. The clan’s spiritual leaders interpreted it as a sign from Eywa and led their people in its direction.
The star guided them to a remote land of ancient forests, hidden valleys, and sacred sites untouched by outsiders. Believing this place had been chosen for them, they settled there and founded what would become the Txon’ite Clan.
Over generations, the stars became central to their culture. Their hunters mastered moving through the forests under moonlight and earned a reputation as some of Pandora’s finest archers. Their Tsahìks studied celestial movements to mark seasons, migrations, ceremonies, and important events.
More than anything else, the Txon’ite are known for their deep spirituality. While outsiders often describe them as a clan obsessed with stars, the truth is far more complex. To the Txon’ite, the stars are not merely lights in the sky or tools for navigation. They are believed to be part of a greater spiritual network that connects Eywa, the living, and the ancestors. Many clan members grow up believing that the night sky reveals glimpses of truths that cannot be seen during the day. Certain constellations are considered sacred, celestial events are interpreted as messages from Eywa, and some Tsahìks dedicate their entire lives to studying the movements of the heavens. This has given the clan an almost mystical reputation among other Na’vi. Many believe the Txon’ite possess knowledge that lies beyond ordinary understanding, existing somewhere between memory, prophecy, and the spiritual world itself.

The Txon’ite Clan inhabits one of the most isolated and difficult-to-reach regions of Pandora called Nìralu Veil. Their territory stretches across vast ancient forests dominated by colossal trees whose immense canopies block much of the daylight, leaving the forest floor in perpetual twilight. The region is filled with towering waterfalls, deep ravines, hidden cave systems, and countless bioluminescent plants that transform the landscape into a sea of blue light after sunset.
Unlike most Na’vi clans, the Txon’ite do not live solely on the ground. Over countless generations, they established settlements among Pandora’s floating mountains and sky islands (”The Weeping Stars”), building homes high above the clouds where they feel closer to the stars that play such an important role in their culture. Many of these aerial settlements remain hidden from outsiders, concealed by thick cloud cover, mountain mist, and the natural geography of the floating islands themselves.
The spiritual and political heart of the clan, however, lies on the forest floor. The residence of the Tsahìk and the clan’s most sacred sites are located within a hidden village called Amral’une, a sanctuary protected by nature itself. The settlement is concealed behind a massive waterfall that crashes down from towering cliffs. The entrance can only be reached through a narrow passage hidden behind the curtain of water, making it nearly impossible for outsiders to discover. On the opposite side, the sanctuary is shielded by dense ancient forests where visibility is limited and unfamiliar travelers can easily lose their way.
The surrounding wilderness contains numerous natural landmarks considered sacred by the clan. These include vast crystal caverns illuminated by bioluminescent minerals, ancient trees believed to predate the founding of the clan, and the Empyrean Pools — deep reflective lakes whose still waters mirror the night sky with remarkable clarity. During certain seasons, rare glowing spores drift through the valleys like falling stars, creating a phenomenon that the Txon’ite consider a blessing from Eywa.
The region is rich in wildlife but extremely difficult to navigate. Hidden sinkholes, steep cliffs, cave networks, and dense vegetation provide natural protection against intruders. Because of these conditions, few outsiders have ever successfully entered the heart of Txon’ite territory.
The Txon’ite are known as a secretive and fiercely protective people. They rarely allow strangers onto their lands and closely guard the locations of their sacred sites and settlements. Visitors who arrive peacefully may be observed from afar before any contact is made. Those who enter with hostile intentions, however, are treated as a threat to the clan and their territory. The Txon’ite make no distinction between Na’vi and Sky People when defending their homeland, and throughout their history they have earned a reputation as relentless guardians of the forests, waterfalls, and floating islands they call home.
